Well I had this fantastic idea to go to Spooners Cove somewhere at Montana de Oro, but due to supremely uncharacteristic and piss poor planning on my part I had no clue where I was going and we never made it. However, we did make it to Montana de Oro and the weather was pretty overcast with fog so it wasn't stellar conditions, but I think I made the best of it all things considered...
A lot of the area was cordoned off because it has become a protected habitat area for the Snowy Plover which is apparently very endangered. Wish I'd seen some, but I suspect they migrate north in the summer.
Ok, I was admittedly feeling a little uninspired!
See any plovers? I don't!
This was one of my favs from the day... I liked the solitude of the single white shell in the massive jumble of the kelp roots that washed up on the beach.
Riding on the beach looks like so much fun!
