Day 10 - Santa Barbara, Part II (6/27/10)

One thing I really wanted to do while we were out visiting was to go to the art show along the beach. I really had one mission and it was to replace the kaleidoscope necklace that I had gotten previously that was messed up when the house burned down. That aside I also wanted to get some pictures of it as well as of downtown Santa Barbara for nostalgic reasons. Sadly, it is not as I had remembered it.

Yea, and it was up in there for a while too!

This mama beach squirrel was do darned pregnant she could barely move!

This just reminded me of the song "Hotel California" and it is slotted to be demolished if I was reading the sign on the fence out front properly.
Wow, yeah!

I totally LOVE these Jacaranda trees and I felt so lucky that they were in bloom all over the place in Santa Barbara while we were there.

I was fascinated with the reflections in this orange wall at the Pinkberry downtown - I love that place and wish we had one here!

Kaitlyn made one of these sock monsters from a kit I got her once, so I was excited to see that someone was making them to sell along the beach in varying sizes.

This appeared to be some kind of Scientology store on State Street and I was very amused to see a homeless person sleeping out in front of it.

This theater is on lower State Street and I vaguely recall that it used to be a porno theater back in the day!

El Paso

Back in November 2006 I got a shot of John and Katie at this same fountain. We wish you were there with us Katie!

I think Joe's Cafe has been there since the dark ages!!
