After our last fancy breakfast at the B&B we hit the road and headed back to Dad's place in Los Alamos. Somehow the drive seemed faster that going to Yosemite and we arrived in no time. I didn't take many pictures, just a couple of the neighborhood and one an an artichoke that was blooming in their garden...

First of all it never occurred to me that an artichoke would be like a Thistle on steroids. Second, I never imagined how pretty the flower would be. However, having now seen one, it all makes perfect sense!


This really is a pretty field!
